Dome Hybrid Reamer
Features
Introducing the next generation of reaming technology, the Dome Hybrid Reamer serves as both a stabiliser while drilling and a reamer when needed. Its innovative design mirrors the Fixedblade Stabiliser but boasts a longer blade length to accommodate a unique 3-stage taper with various cutter types. This taper ensures a gradual cutting action, starting at 14 degrees at the bottom, 5 degrees in the middle, and tapering to 2 degrees near the hardfacing.
The pin side features multiple TCIs distributed across the stages, with flat PDC cutters positioned near the hardfacing for enhanced protection. The box side mirrors this setup and includes stud PDC cutters for superior backreaming capabilities.
The Dome Hybrid Reamer is the perfect choice for positioning as the top stabiliser, providing extra BHA protection and backreaming capabilities without affecting weight on bit or torque.
Unique 3-stage taper
The 3-stage taper is engineered to deliver a smooth cutting action, beginning at 14 degrees at the base, transitioning to 5 degrees in the middle, and tapering to 2 degrees near the hardfacing.
Dome Hybrid Reamer Benefits
